Warhammer 40K Mini Battlezone – Build Part 1

My Warhammer 40K Mini Battlezone build has commenced!

I got most of the ship painted with Ultramarine Blue(Altdorf Guard Blue), the wing tips with Mithril Silver(Runefang Steel), and the ground around the crashed ship was painted with Catachan Green(Castellan Green). I also painted the cockpit windows with Ice Blue(Lothern Blue).

Halfway through painting I had to stop and let the sprue dry, so I got my tools ready for drilling the holes for the LED’s in the wings. Once the paint was dry I drilled the holes for the LED’s and then continued to paint the ship.

The bulk of the painting is done for now, later on I will need to paint on the finer details.

The inside of the cockpit will also be lit up with some LED’s, but I still need to figure out how I want it to look.

Here you can see the wing painted with Ultramarine Blue(Altdorf Guard Blue) and Mithril Silver(Runefang Steel).

In this picture you can see the 3mm LED which will be used as part of the wing lightup on the wreckage of the Space Marine spaceship.

The tips of the wings will have 6 Red LED’s(4 shown here),  the back of the wing will have 5 Orange LED’s and on the engine itself will be one Green LED.  Once I’ve had a chance to do all the wiring and setup, this space ship is gonna look like a XMAS tree but way more cooler with a light pattern of some sort. The selected colors of the LED’s might change, but I will figure that out once I get to the electronics part of the build.

In this picture you can see the ground painted with Catachan Green(Castellan Green) surrounding the wreckage of the Space Marine spaceship.
