Samsung Galaxy Note Edge First Impressions

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is awesome! That’s my first impression. 🙂

The S Pen is something to try, I’ve tried a bunch of tablets and even have a Galaxy Note 8.0 but the Note Edge pen feels even better. Its very close to writing with a pen on a piece of paper. The curved edge of the screen is a very nice feature to store your most common program icons, local weather and notifications.
On this phone I also noticed its easier to flip through images on Instagram and other programs, as your finger just rolls off the edge instead of getting stuck like most phones.

The screen resolution being 2560 x 1440 is extremely sharp and looks great with high resolution images and movies. You can run applications in full screen, half screen or windowed mode so lots of options there.

The only challenge I had so far, was Youtube showing videos with a maximum resolution of 1280×720, nothing higher. But after I uninstalled the Youtube update, cleared the application cache and re-installed the update, it’s working flawlessly.

Having a bigger screen and the higher resolution to my previous phone,  its very easy to browse the internet with more clarity. I haven’t played any action games yet but just bouncing between all the programs it seems very zippy. The heart rate sensor and the step counter are a nice feature as well. So all in all this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone.
